New on DVD and Blu-ray: December 27, 2016

This week on DVD and Blu-ray we have Oliver Stone's controversial biopic "Snowden", the Australian drama "The Dressmaker" starring Kate Winslet, the thriller "When the Bough Breaks" and the critically acclaimed indie drama "American Honey".

Other notable releases include the Swedish drama "A Man Called Ove", which has recently been shortlisted for the foreign-language Oscar, and Ti West's western "In a Valley of Violence" starring Ethan Hawke and John Travolta. "Underworld" fans should check out the new Blu-ray re-release of all four films in the franchise in anticipation of the fifth film's release in theaters next week.

The new home video releases also include the first season of the BBC Two World War II series "Close to the Enemy". And, for classic film collectors, there's the 1970 horror "The House That Screamed".

Weekend Box-Office: Eastwood's SULLY Conquers the Box-Office

The biopic "Sully" dominated the box-office this weekend, while the other new releases, "When the Bough Breaks", "The Wild Life" and "The Disappointments Room" failed to impress.

In Theaters: SULLY, WHEN THE BOUGH BREAKS, THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM, THE WILD LIFE

This week in theaters, we have Clint Eastwood's biopic "Sully", and the do-not-screen-for-critics thrillers "When the Bough Breaks" and "The Disappointments Room". In limited release you can check out the Belgian animated feature "The Wild Life" based on Daniel Defoe's "Robinson Crusoe".

WHEN THE BOUGH BREAKS Trailers, Clips, Images and Posters

The thriller "When the Bough Breaks" stars Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall as a young couple who desperately want a baby, so they decide to use a surrogate mother. But when the woman they chose to bear their child (played by Jaz Sinclair) ends up developing a psychotic and dangerous fixation on the husband, the couple is forced to fight to regain control of their future before it's too late.

Directed by Jon Cassar ("24: Live Another Day"), the film also stars Romany Malco, Michael Kenneth Williams, Glenn Morshower and Theo Rossi.

"When the Bough Breaks" opens in theaters on September 9th.
