The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How To Game The System Anime Series Trailers Clips Images Posters

"The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System" is a new anime series based on the Japanese light novel series written by Nekoko and illustrated by Jaian. A manga adaptation illustrated by Lee Brocco began serialization on Kodansha's YanMaga Web manga website and app in February 2022, before being transferred to the Weekly Young Magazine in September 2024.

The anime is directed by Katsumasa Yokomine ("Momentary Lily") under supervising director Shingo Suzuki at studio GoHands, with character designs by Takayuki Uchida ("The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses"). The series will run for two consecutive cours.

For the first cours, the opening theme song is "Awake" performed by Spyair, while the ending theme song is "Lv. 1 Shokugyō: Ningen" ("Level 1 Occupation: Human"), performed by Reona. The voice cast includes Takeo Otsuka, Shion Wakayama, Natsuko Abe, Kentaro Tone, Miyuri Shimabukuro and Katsumi Fukuhara.

"The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System" premiered on July 2, 2026 and streams on Crunchyroll.

"Born into a prestigious family of master swordsmen, Elymas Edvaughn's future shatters when he awakens the so-called "defective" Heavy Knight class. Disowned and cast out, he regains memories of another life-and realizes this world mirrors a VR game he once mastered.
