Product Description: During the winter of 1952, British authorities entered the home of mathematician, cryptanalyst and war hero Alan Turing (Benedict Cumberbatch) to investigate a reported burglary. They instead ended up arresting Turing himself on charges of ‘gross indecency’, an accusation that would lead to his devastating conviction for the criminal offense of homosexuality – little did officials know, they were actually incriminating the pioneer of modern-day computing. Famously leading a motley group of scholars, linguists, chess champions and intelligence officers, he was credited with cracking the so-called unbreakable codes of Germany's World War II Enigma machine. An intense and haunting portrayal of a brilliant, complicated man, a genius who under nail-biting pressure helped to shorten the war and, in turn, save thousands of lives.

6 New Clips for THE IMITATION GAME Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley

Six new clips have been released for "The Imitation Game", the Alan Turing biopic/thriller starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the mathematician, logician and cryptologist who helped the Allies win WWII by cracking the German Enigma Code. The film is directed by Morten Tyldum and it also stars Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Charles Dance, Mark Strong, Rory Kinnear and Allen Leech.

"The Imitation Game" opens in theaters on November 28th.

THE IMITATION GAME UK Trailer and 2 New Posters

A new international (U.K.) trailer and two posters have been released for the thriller/biopic "The Imitation Game". Benedict Cumberbatch ("Sherlock") stars as mathematician, logician and cryptologist Alan Turing, who led the charge to crack the German Enigma Code that helped the Allies win WWII. Directed by Morten Tyldum, the film also stars Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Charles Dance, Mark Strong, Rory Kinnear and Allen Leech.

"The Imitation Game" opens in theaters on November 14th in the UK and November 21st in the US.

THE IMITATION GAME Trailer: Benedict Cumberbatch Stars As Alan Turing

The first trailer for the Alan Turing biopic "The Imitation Game" has been released. Benedict Cumberbatch ("Sherlock") stars as Turing, mathematician, logician and cryptologist, who during World War II succeeded in cracking Germany's famous "Enigma" code, thus turning the tide of the war in favor of the Allies. The film focuses on this historical breakthrough, and it also stars Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Charles Dance, Mark Strong, Rory Kinnear and Allen Leech.

"The Imitation Game" opens in theaters on November 21st in the US and November 14th in the UK.

David Yates to Direct DOCTOR WHO Movie

It seems that Harry Potter director David Yates had a very good reason to pass on the big screen adaptation of Stephen King's "The Stand". He will go on to direct an adaptation of the cult sci-fi TV series "Doctor Who". The series deals with time travel and fighting intergalactic evil and we already know that Yates can handle big visual effects spectacles, so he might be a great fit. Not to mention that both Yates and the good Doctor are of British origins. The production still requires a script, so according to Yates : "We’re looking at writers now. We’re going to spend two to three years to get it right,. It needs quite a radical transformation to take it into the bigger arena."

The big screen adaptation of "Doctor Who" will linger on in pre-pre-production until Yates finishes work on a smaller unknown project. Also, Warner Bros. seems to want Yates for their biopic, "The Imitation Game", which depicts the life of English mathematician Alan Turing, who laid down the foundation for modern computers and worked as a codebreaker during World War II. Clearly, David Yated is going to be very busy for next few years.
