Product Description: Rio de Janeiro, early 1970s. Brazil faces the tightening grip of a military dictatorship. The Paivas: a father, Rubens, a mother, Eunice, and their five children live by the beach, in a rented house with doors constantly open to friends. The affection and humor they share among themselves are their own forms of resistance to the oppression that hangs over the country. Oscar Nominations 2025 - The Complete List

The 2025 Academy Awards nominations were revealed on Thursday after voting had been extended twice because of the wildfires that have devastated Los Angeles. The musical "Emilia Pérez" leads with 13 nominations, followed closely behind by the historical epic "The Brutalist" and the box office hit "Wicked" with 10 nods apiece. Meanwhile, the Vatican thriller "Conclave" and the Bob Dylan biopic "A Complete Unknown" each scored eight nominations. All five previously mentioned films are also contenders in the Best Picture category alongside "The Substance", "Anora", "Nickel Boys", "Dune: Part Two" and "I'm Still Here".

The awards ceremony will be hosted by Conan O'Brien and will be held at the Dolby Theatre on March 2nd. The Oscars will air on ABC, but for the first time, it will also be available to stream live on Hulu. It was also announced that the March telecast will "acknowledge those who fought so bravely against the wildfires".

I'M STILL HERE (2024) - Trailer, Clip, Images and Posters

"I'm Still Here" ("Ainda Estou Aqui") is a biographical drama directed by Walter Salles ("Central Station", "The Motorcycle Diaries") from a screenplay by Murilo Hauser and Heitor Lorega, based on the 2015 memoir of the same name by Marcelo Rubens Paiva. The cast includes Fernanda Torres, Fernanda Montenegro, Selton Mello, Valentina Herszage and Marjorie Estiano. For the lead role, Torres became the first Brazilian actress to win the Golden Globe for acting. The film received a limited release in US theaters on January 17, 2025.
