SING SING (2023) - Trailer, Featurette, Images and Poster

"Sing Sing" is a drama directed by Greg Kwedar from a script he co-wrote alongside Clint Bentley based on the real-life Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison. The film stars Colman Domingo and Paul Raci alongside real-life formerly incarcerated men who were themselves alumni of the program during their incarceration.

"Sing Sing" was released in select theaters on July 12, 2024, and re-released on January 17, 2025. The film is nominated for three Oscars: Best Original Song, Actor in a Leading Role (Domingo) and Adapted Screenplay.

Spirit Awards Nominations 2025 - The Complete List

The 40th edition of the Film Independent Spirit Awards revealed its 2025 nominations. The Best Feature line-up includes Cannes Palme d'Or winner "Anora", A24's "I Saw the TV Glow", Amazon MGM Studios' "Nickel Boys", A24's "Sing Sing" and Mubi's horror movie "The Substance". "Anora" and "I Saw the TV Glow" are tied with the most nominations, six apiece.

"Anora" is also nominated for Best Lead Performance (Mikey Madison), twice for Best Supporting Performance (Yuri Borisov and Karren Karagulian), Best Director (Sean Baker), and the Producers Award. Once again, A24 leads with 19 nominations this year (11 last year), while Netflix only scored 9 nods.

The Independent Spirit Awards will take place on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 at the Santa Monica beach. Saturday Night Live alum Aidy Bryant will once again host, and the in-person ceremony will stream live on IMDb, Film Independent YouTube channels, and across other social platforms.
