Weekend Box Office: DISCLOSURE DAY Scores Biggest Opening for a Steven Spielberg Original Film

Steven Spielberg's new sci-fi thriller "Disclosure Day" dominated the box office with an impressive debut for an original adult-oriented film. Other new releases like the martial arts action film "The Furious", and the spoof comedy "Stop! That! Train!", failed to attract moviegoers. Meanwhile, last week's new releases, "Scary Movie" and "Masters of the Universe" suffered steep drops.

STOP! THAT! TRAIN! (2026) - Trailer, Clip, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"Stop! That! Train!" is a disaster spoof comedy directed by Adam Shankman ("Rock of Ages", "A Walk to Remember", "Hairspray") from a script by Christina Friel and Connor Wright. The ensemble cast incldues Ginger Minj, Jujubee, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Latrice Royale, Marty Lauter, Monet X Change, Symone, RuPaul Charles, Chris Parnell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sarah Michelle Gellar. The film opened in theaters on June 12, 2026.
