"Blood Father" seems to be Mel Gibson's action comeback, according to the critics. It's essentially a B flick, and some have summed it up as "trash", but pretty much every review mentioned what a talented actor Gibson is and how he elevates the material. While not a major studio picture, this could still be the actor's chance to at least get some more genre parts.

Directed by Jean-Francois Richet ("Assault on Precinct 13", "Public Enemy #1", "Killer Instinct"), the film also stars Erin Moriarty, William H. Macy, Thomas Mann, Elisabeth Rohm, Diego Luna and Michael Parks.
