"Dead Man's Wire" is a fact-based crime thriller directed by Gus Van Sant ("Good Will Hunting", "Milk") from a screenplay by Austin Kolodney based on the 2018 documentary "Dead Man's Line". Bill Skarsgard stars as Tony Kiritsis, who on February 8, 1977 entered the office of Richard Hall (Dacre Montgomery), president of the Meridian Mortgage Company, and took him hostage with a sawed-off shotgun wired with a "dead man's wire" from the trigger to Tony's own neck. THE CROW (2024) - Trailers, Clips, Images and Posters

The 2024 superhero action film "The Crow" is the fifth installment in the franchise, and a direct adaptation of the 1989 comic book series of the same name by James O'Barr. The film is directed by Rupert Sanders ("Snow White and the Huntsman", "Ghost in the Shell") from a script by Zach Baylin ("Creed III", "Gran Turismo") and William Schneider. The cast includes Bill Skarsgard, FKA Twigs, Danny Huston, Josette Simon and Sami Bouajila. The film opened in theaters on August 23, 2024.

Bill Skarsgård To Reprise Pennywise Role For IT Prequel Series

Bill Skarsgård ("IT", "Boy Kills World", "The Crow") has signed on to reprise the role of Pennywise from the hit movies "It" and "It: Chapter Two" for a new Max prequel series "Welcome to Derry" (working title). The cast also includes Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk and James Remar.

The director of the original films, Andy Muschietti will also return to produce the series and direct four episodes. The show will have a total of nine episodes. Other producers include Barbara Muschietti, Jason Fuchs, Roy Lee and Dan Lin. Fuchs, who wrote the teleplay for the first episode, and Kane serve as co-showrunners.

The series originated from a story by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Fuchs based on King's novel "It". Andy and Barbara Muschietti will executive produce through their Double Dream production company alongside Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Lee and Lin.

Skarsgård previously starred in another Stephen King adaptation, the Hulu series "Castle Rock". He can next be seen in "The Crow" remake, "Nosferatu", and "Locked".

Bill Skarsgard To Play Eric Draven in Reimagining of THE CROW From Rupert Sanders

It looks like the long-awaited reboot of "The Crow" is finally moving forward, and the producers have announced a couple of major updates. The reimagining of the cult classic will star Bill Skarsgard, best known as Pennywise the Clown in the "It" films, in the lead role of Eric Draven. Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter FKA twigs ("Honeyboy") is also attached to star.

Based on the original 1989 graphic novel written and illustrated by James O'Barr, the revenge thriller is directed by Rupert Sanders ("Snow White and the Huntsman", "Ghost in the Shell") from a script by Academy Award-nominated Zach Baylin ("King Richard").

The original 1994 film was directed by Alex Proyas ("Dark City", "I, Robot") and starred the late Brandon Lee. The reboot has been described as a "modern reimagining" of the titular character.

Director Sanders said the following:

"The Crow is beautiful, dark, poetic and sometimes disturbing. It is a story of love, loss, grief and revenge. It is a great honor to revisit James O’Barr's iconic comic and reimagine The Crow as a foreboding voice of today.".

The film will be produced by Victor Hadida ("Resident Evil" franchise), Molly Hassell ("Braven"), John Jencks ("Honest Thief") and Edward R. Pressman ("The Crow", "Wall Street", "American Psycho").

Production companies are Hassell Free Productions, Electric Shadow Company, Davis Films, and Edward R. Pressman Film Corporation, in association with 30WEST. CAA Media Finance is handling the film's domestic distribution rights.

Skarsgard will next be seen in Lionsgate's "John Wick: Chapter 4" starring Keanu Reeves. Baylin is currently finishing up work on the third installment in the "Creed" franchise starring Michael B. Jordan, and the Bob Marley biopic from "King Richard" helmer Rei Green.

Michelle Dockery Joins Action-Thriller BOY KILLS WORLD

Emmy-nominated actress Michelle Dockery ("Downton Abbey") has joined the cast of the action thriller "Boy Kills World". The film is directed by German filmmaker Moritz Mohr in his feature directorial debut, from a script by Arend Remmers ("Sløborn") and Tyler Burton Smith (2019's "Child's Play"). Sam Raimi is one of the film's producers.

The cast also includes Bill Skarsgård, Famke Janssen, Brett Gelman, Sharlto Copley, Samara Weaving, martial arts master Yayan Ruhian, Jessica Rothe, Andrew Koji and Isaiah Mustafa.

The film follows Boy (Skarsgard), a deaf mute with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, he escapes to the jungle and is trained by a mysterious shaman to repress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death. Dockery will play the sister of the film's Van der Koy family. Melanie is a satirical powerhouse and sociopath who tries to project a powerful cohesive family image to hide the desperation behind their decaying dynasty.

Production has already started two weeks ago in South Africa. The film is expected to be released either later this year, or next year.

Dockery can next be seen in Netflix's "Anatomy of a Scandal", which will be released on April 15, and the "Downton Abbey" movie "Downton Abbey: A New Era", which opens in U.S. theaters on May 20th.

"Naked Singularity" is a crime dramedy directed by Chase Palmer in his feature directorial debut, from a script co-written by Palmer and David Matthews, based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Sergio De La Pava.

Executive produced by Ridley Scott, the film tells the story of an idealistic young New York City public defender burned out by the system, who decides to rob a multi-million drug deal of one of his clients. The cast features John Boyega, Olivia Cooke, Bill Skarsgard, Ed Skrein, Linda Lavin and Tim Blake Nelson.

The film was released on August 6, 2021 in select theaters, and on August 13, 2021 on VOD.

"Soulmates" is a six-hour anthology series ​created by Emmy Award-winner William Bridges ("Stranger Things", "Black Mirror") and Brett Goldstein ("Ted Lasso", "Superbob").

The show is set fifteen years into the future when science has made a discovery that changes the lives of everyone on the planet - a test that unequivocally tells you who your soulmate is. Each episode will feature a different cast and explore an entirely new story around discovering (or opting not to discover) the results of this new test and the impact of those results on a myriad of relationships.

The cast features Sarah Snook, Kingsley Ben-Adir, David Costabile, Sonya Cassidy, Charlie Heaton, Malin Akerman, Bill Skarsgård, Betsy Brandt, JJ Feild, Laia Costa, Shamier Anderson, Georgina Campbell, and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.

"Soulmates" premieres on AMC on October 5, 2020.
