Elizaveta Neretin to Star in LIONESS Season 3

Elizaveta Neretin ("Mayor of Kingstown") has signed on for a major recurring role on the third season of Taylor Sheridan's spy thriller series "Lioness". In the second season, the CIA's fight against terror moved closer to home, and Joe (Zoe Saldaña), Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman), and Byron (Michael Kelly) enlisted a new Lioness operative to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With pressure mounting from all sides, Joe was forced to confront the profound personal sacrifices she made as the leader of the Lioness program.

Neretin will portray an international operative who crosses paths with Joe (Saldaña). The Season 3 cast also includes Ian Bohen as a new series regular. Season 2 also starred Morgan Freeman, Laysla De Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill and Hannah Love Lanier.

The show is executive produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Saldaña, Kidman, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Jill Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox. Matthew McConaughey & Zoe Saldana To Star In Netflix Romantic Caper POSITANO

Matthew McConaughey and Zoe Saldana are in talks to star in the upcoming Netflix flick "Positano", which will be directed by Daniel Roher ("Navalny", "Tuner") from a script by Alessandro Tanaka ("Comrade Detective") and Brian Gatewood.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film has been described as a romantic caper set in the titular town located on the Amalfi Coast in the Province of Salerno, in the Campania region of Italy. Working Title founders Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan will produce. Amelia Granger executive produces for Working Title alongside Tanaka and Gatewood.

Working Title grabbed the spec script after Tanaka and Gatewood took it to market. Roher boarded the film as director shortly after, and in recent weeks the script attraced the attention of McConaughey and Saldana, who were immediately drawn to the story and entered negotiations to star. As soon as the two were attached to the project, Netflix landed the package with plans to fast-track it into production as soon as the contracts are signed

McConaughey recently starred in Paul Greengrass' acclaimed fact-based thriller "The Lost Bus". Saldana also stars in James Cameron's "Avatar: Fire and Ash", which is now in theaters.

AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH (2025) - Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"Avatar: Fire and Ash" is a sci-fi epic directed by James Cameron from a script co-written by Cameron, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The film is the third installment in the "Avatar" series, and it stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Oona Chaplin, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi and David Thewlis.

The film opened in theaters on December 19, 2025. Two more sequels are in the works. "Avatar 4" will be released in 2029, while "Avatar 5" will open in theaters in 2031.

ELIO (2025) - Trailers, Clips, Featurette, Images and Posters

"Elio" is a new Disney/Pixar animated sci-fi adventure film directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi and Adrian Molina from a script by Julia Cho, Mark Hammer and Mike Jones.

The film follows Elio, a young space fanatic with an active imagination who finds himself on a cosmic misadventure where he must form new bonds with alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be. The voice cast includes Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldana, Remy Edgerly, Brandon Moon, Brad Garrett, Jameela Jamil, Shirley Henderson, Brendan Hunt, Matthias Schweighöfer, Ana de la Reguera and Kate Mulgrew.

"Elio" opened in theaters on June 20, 2025.

Oscars 2025 Winners - The Complete List

Sean Baker's "Anora" won big at the 97th Academy Awards, scoring five trophies: Best Picture, Director, Actress (Mikey Madison), Original Screenplay and Editing. Baker took home four of those five awards, tying Walt Disney's Oscar record for most individual wins in one year, although Baker won all of his Oscars for one film, while Disney won for four different movies in 1954: "The Living Desert" (Best Documentary Feature), "The Alaskan Eskimo" (Best Documentary - Short Subject), "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom" (Best Short Subject - Cartoon), and "Bear Country" (Best Short Subject - Two-Reel).

Adrien Brody took Best Actor for A24's "The Brutalist", and Zoe Saldana and Kieran Culkin won in the Supporting categories for Emilia Perez" and "A Real Pain", respectively. "Conclave" only scored a win for Adapted Screenplay (Peter Straughan"). "Dune: Part Two" won two awards for Best Sound and Visual Effects, while "Wicked" took home two trophies for Costume and Production Design.

Cesar Awards 2025 Winners - The Complete List

The winners of the 50th Césars have been revealed on Friday evening. "Emilia Perez" defied expectations and took home seven trophies for Best Film, Director (Jacques Audiard), Best Adapted Screenplay, Sound, Original Music, Special Effects and Cinematography. Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofia Gascon went home empty-handed as the Best Actress award went to Hafsia Herzi for her performance in "Borgo", while Nina Meurisse won Best Supporting Actress for "Souleymane's Story". Karim Leklou was named Best Actor for his role in "Jim's Story". Honorary Césars were handed out to Julia Roberts and Costa-Gavras.

SAG Awards 2025 Winners - Complete List

"Conclave" was the big winner the 31st annual SAG awards, taking home the marquee Ensemble in a Motion Picture trophy. Demi Moore won the Female Actor in a Motion Picture award for her performance in the horror film "The Substance", while Timothée Chalamet pulled off a surprise win for Lead Actor in a Motion Picture for his role as the young Bob Dylan in " A Complete Unknown".

Zoe Saldaña nabbed the Female Actor in a Supporting Role prize for Netflix's "Emilia Pérez", and "A Real Pain" star Kieran Culkin took home the Male Actor in a Supporting Role award.

In the television categories, Only Murders in the Building" won two awards: Male Actor in a Comedy Series (Martin Short) and Ensemble Comedy In A Series. Colin Farrell won Male Actor in a TV Movie or Limited Series for his performance in "The Penguin", while Jessica Gunning won Female Actor in a Limited Series for "Baby Reindeer".

"Shōgun" actors Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai scored Male and Female Actor in a Drama Series, respectively. "Hacks" star Jean Smart nabbed the trophy for Female Actor in a Comedy Series.

Two-time Oscar winner and Emmy winner Jane Fonda received the SAG Life Achievement. The ceremony was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and was hosted by Kristen Bell.

Golden Globes 2025 Winners - The Complete List

The winners of the 82nd annual Golden Globes were revealed on Sunday night. A24's "The Brutalist" won Best Motion Picture Drama, Director (Brady Corbet) and Actor (Adrien Brody), while Netflix's "Emilia Perez" won Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, Female Actor in a Supporting Role (Zoe Saldana), Non-English Motion Picture and Original Score (Celement Ducol, Camille).

Fernanda Torres provided a major upset as Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture for Sony's "I'm Still Here", beating out Pamela Anderson, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Tilda Swinton and Kate Winslet. Torres is the second Brazilian woman to be nominated in the category. The first was her mother, Fernanda Montenegro, for Walter Salles' 1999 film "Central Station".

Demi Moore also scored an upset, winning Female Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for the horror film "The Substance". This is her first major acting award, and her third Golden Globes nomination.

Kieran Culkin won Male Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in Jesse Eisenberg's movie "A Real Pain". Zoe Saldaña won her first Golden Globe for Female Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for "Emilia Pérez". Sebastian Stan nabbed a trophy for Male Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for A24's "A Different Man".

FX's "Shōgun" dominated in the television categories with four awards including Best TV Drama Series and trophies for Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai and Tadanobu Asano. Max's "Hacks" won Best TV Musical or Comedy and Female Actor in a TV Series – Musical or Comedy (Jean Smart), while Netflix' "Baby Reindeer" won for Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and Female Supporting Actor in a TV series (Jessica Gunning).

Jeremy Allen White won Male Actor in a TV Musical or Comedy Golden Globe for FX's "The Bear", and Colin Farrell won his third career Golden Globe for his performance in "The Penguin". Jodie Foster took home her fifth Globe for the HBO limited series "True Detective: Night Country".

The awards show was hosted by stand-up comedian and actress Nikki Glaser from the Beverly Hilton. The show aired live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.

EMILIA PEREZ (2024) - Trailers, Clip, Images and Posters

"Emilia Pérez" is a musical crime comedy written and directed by Jacques Audiard ("A Prophet", "Rust and Bone") based on Audiard's opera libretto of the same name, which was in turn loosely adapted from Boris Razon's 2018 novel "Ecoute". The film stars Zoe Saldana, Karla Sofia Gascon, Selena Gomez, Adriana Paz, Mark Ivanir and Édgar Ramírez. "Emilia Perez" was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, and won the Jury Prize and the Best Actress award for the entire female ensemble. The film was released via Netflix on November 13, 2024.

James Cameron's AVATAR 3 Officialy Titled FIRE AND ASH

During the D23 expo, director James Cameron and stars Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington revealed the third "Avatar" film's official title: "Avatar: Fire and Ash". The third installment is once again written by Cameron, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The story will follow Jake and Neytiri as they encounter the Ash People, who Cameron has hinted are drawn more to violence and power than other clans.

Cameron didn't preview any footage, but showcased some concept concept art from the film, including Neytiri (Saldana) riding a banshee, what appeared to be giant airships, and a first look at the fearsome Ash People of the Na'vi, covered in ghost-like soot and otherworldly masks as they dance around a giant fire pit.

The filmmaker had this to say about the new installment: "You'll see a lot more Pandora that you never saw before. It's an insane adventure and a feast for the eyes, but it's also got very high emotional stakes, more than ever before. We're going into really challenging territory for all the characters you know and love. There are new characters, one especially I think you're gonna love, or love to hate".

"Fire and Ash" was shot back-to-back with 2022's "Avatar: The Way of Water", and the sequel will pick up soon after the events of the second film. Originally, they were meant to be a single film, but during the writing process, Cameron decided there was too much material and split the story into two parts.

New additions to the cast include Oona Chaplin ("Game of Thrones"), who stars as the leader of the Ash People, Varang, as well as David Thewlis and Michelle Yeoh. Returning cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Jack Champion, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Bailey Bass, Joel David Moore, Edie Falco and Dileep Rao.
