FIFTY SHADES FREED Trailers, Clips, B-Roll, Images and Posters

"Fifty Shades Freed" is the third and final installment in the erotic drama franchise based on the novels written by E.L. James. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan reprise their roles as Anastasia Steel and Christian Grey, who in this film become Mr. and Mrs. Grey. But, the newlywed's happiness is short-lived as a new threat could jeopardize their happy ending before it even begins.

"Fifty Shades Darker" director James Foley ("House of Cards") returns to helm the new installment, and the cast also includes Eric Johnson, Eloise Mumford, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Jennifer Ehle, Kim Basinger, Marcia Gay Harden, Max Martini and Arielle Kebbel.

"Fifty Shades Freed" opened in theaters on February 9, 2018, and received negative reviews from critics. The film is expected to gross around $40 million in its opening weekend after grossing $18.5 million on Friday.

FIFTY SHADES DARKER Extended Trailer and International Posters

A new extended trailer for the sequel "Fifty Shades Darker" has been released online along with two new international posters.

The film finds Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) trying to rekindle their romance, although it seems to be a more BDSM-light relationship. Things become complicated when shadowy figures from Christian's past shows up, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.

The film is directed by James Foley ("Glengarry Glen Ross") from a script by Niall Leonard ("Wire in the Blood") based on E.L. James' novel. The cast also includes Eric Johnson, Jennifer Ehle, Victor Rasuk, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini, Bella Heathcote, Kim Basinger and Marcia Gay Harden.

"Fifty Shades Darker" opens in theaters on February 10th.

New FIFTY SHADES DARKER Trailer and Poster

Universal and Focus Features have released a new trailer and poster for the sequel "Fifty Shades Darker". The second in the trilogy of books written by E.L. James finds Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) trying to entice a cautious Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) back into his life. And judging from the trailer, he succeeds. However, a mysterious woman from Christian's past begins to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.

Directed by James Foley ("Glengarry Glen Ross"), the film also stars Eric Johnson, Jennifer Ehle, Victor Rasuk, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini, Bella Heathcote, Kim Basinger and Marcia Gay Harden.

Box-Office: FIFTY SHADES OF GREY Makes Expectedly Impressive Debut

It's no surprise that "Fifty Shades of Grey" is the no. 1 movie at the box-office this weekend. The S&M romance secured a $81.6 million debut in the U.S. and a record-breaking $158 million overseas. The previous first-weekend record holder was 2003's "The Matrix Revolutions" with $117 million. However, the much-hyped adaptation of E.L. James' controversial book has not managed to break all the records everyone thought it could break. Initial projections estimated that the film would make a $90 million debut, but according to the final figures it managed to miss out on the all-time February and R-rated debut records. The highest February debut is still "The Passion of the Christ" with $83.8 million. Still, the film grossed $239 million worlwide on a $40 million budget. Not bat at all.

The other wide release of the week, "Kingsman: The Secret Service", opened with a solid $35.6 million and an additional $43.8 million overseas. Considering the tough competition, the comic book adaptation managed to make a good impression and surpassed initial expectations of a $25 million opening. It's also an improvement over Matthew Vaughn's previous adaptation of a Mark Millar comic, "Kick-Ass" which opened with $19.8 million in 2008. Kingsman's production costs are estimated at $81 million.

4 New FIFTY SHADES OF GREY Clips and 5 Featurettes

Four new clips and five making of featurettes have been released for "Fifty Shades of Grey". The adaptation of E.L. James' novel opens today in theaters and while critics have not been impressed by it, the film is expected to be a box-office hit over the Valentine's Day weekend. Sam Taylor-Johnson ("Nowhere Boy") directs and the cast features Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, Eloise Mumford, Jennifer Ehle, Marcia Gay Harden, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes and Callum Keith Rennie.

New FIFTY SHADES OF GREY Clip and TV Spots

A new clip and five TV spots have been released for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie. Based on E.L. James' novel and directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson ("Nowhere Boy"), the film tells the story of the passionate relationship between a tormented billionaire (Jamie Dornan) with a taste for S&M and a literature student (Dakota Johnson). The film reportedly contains 20 minutes of sex scenes, which sounds nice, except the film is 125 minutes long, so that leaves a hell of a long time to fill with cringeworthy dialogue like the one in the clip and TV spots below. The cast also features Eloise Mumford, Jennifer Ehle, Marcia Gay Harden, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes and Callum Keith Rennie.

A new trailer and three posters have been released for the BDSM romance flick "Fifty Shades of Grey". Based on the first of a trilogy of books written by E.L. James, the film tells the story of a student (Dakota Johnson) who becomes involved in an S&M relationship with a tormented billionaire (Jamie Dornan). The new trailer still doesn't give me much hope, but at least it tries to be more twisted than romantic. It's also a neat music video for Beyonce's new single. The film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson ("Nowhere Boy") and it also stars Eloise Mumford, Jennifer Ehle, Marcia Gay Harden, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes and Callum Keith Rennie.

I'm sure we can expect more images soon. The film is based on E.L. James' novel of the same name. Sam Taylor-Johnson directs from a script by Kelly Marcel ("Saving Mr. Banks"). Dakota Johnson, Eloise Mumford, Jennifer Ehle, Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes and Callum Keith Rennie also stars.

The first official poster for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" adaptation has been released. The poster teases one of the story's protagonists, Christian Grey, who will be played by Jamie Dornan. The film, which is based on E.L. James' novel, is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and also stars Dakota Johnson, Eloise Mumford, Jennifer Ehle, Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes and Callum Keith Rennie.

First Look at FIFTY SHADES OF GREY (5 New Images)

Entertainment Weekly has released the first official pictures of the lead actors from the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" adaptation. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan star as a college student and a businessman who begin a complicated relationship that also includes lots of S&M sex. Dornan has replaced Charlie Hunnam ("Pacific Rim") who departed the production for somewhat vague reasons. The adaptation of E.L. James' novel is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and also stars Jennifer Ehle, Luke Grimes and Victor Rasuk.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" also has a new release date: February 13, 2015.

Jamie Dornan Replaces Charlie Hunnam in FIFTY SHADES OF GREY Adaptation

The casting of the leads for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" adaptation generated a lot of buzz for the film, but in a surprising turn of events, Charlie Hunnam who was cast as Christian Grey dropped out for unclear reasons. Forced to find a new lead before the planned start date of November 1st, Universal and Focus Features seem to have found their man.

Today, the studios announced that Jamie Dornan ("Once Upon a Time", "The Fall") has replaced Hunnam as the S&M billionaire. Dornan's big screen credits include an appearance in Sofia Coppola's "Marie Antoinette". He has also modeled for Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Armani.

Dakota Johnson ("21 Jump Street") remains attached as the female lead. Meanwhile, Universal is also looking to cast the remaining supporting roles. Sam Taylor-Johnson ("Nowhere Boy") will direct.

The adaptation of E.L. James’ bestselling novel is scheduled for release on August 1, 2014.

Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam to Lead FIFTY SHADES OF GREY Adaptation

Universal Pictures has announced that Dakota Johnson ("21 Jump Street") and Charlie Hunnam ("Pacific Rim") have been chosen to star as the lead characters in the adaptation of E.L. James's erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey". The novel is the first in a trilogy of books, one of the fastest-selling book series ever. The film will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson ("Nowhere Boy") and the adaptation written by Kelly Marcel ("Terra Nova" TV series). The trilogy follows the relationship of 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey (Hunnam) and college student Anastasia Steele (Steele) and the other two books are titled "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed". If the first film will be a success, I expect that Universal will also adapt the sequel novels, as well. "Fifty Shades of Grey" opens in theaters on August 1, 2014.

Ms. Johnson’s first notable screen role was in the multi-Academy Award-winning 2010 feature The Social Network, on which Mr. De Luca and Mr. Brunetti were producers. Her subsequent movies include the upcoming feature Need for Speed, 21 Jump Street, and Universal Pictures’ The Five-Year Engagement. She also starred as Kate in the Fox Network comedy series Ben and Kate, which aired during the 2012-2013 season. Ms. Johnson is currently shooting the feature film Cymbeline.

Charlie Hunnam will star as Christian Grey, the lead male character in Universal Pictures and Focus Features’ highly anticipated film adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” it was announced today.

Mr. Hunnam currently stars as a regular on the critically acclaimed FX series Sons of Anarchy. His feature film credits include Pacific Rim, Children of Men, Cold Mountain, and Nicholas Nickleby.

The film, which will be released by Focus Features on August 1, 2014 in North America, is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti alongside E L James, the author of the #1 bestselling book on which the film is based. The screenplay is by Kelly Marcel. The announcement about Mr. Hunnam’s casting in Fifty Shades of Grey was made today by Ms. James.
