Weekend Box Office: PROJECT HAIL MARY Continues To Dominate in Sophomore Frame

"Project Hail Mary" continues to surprise everyone with how well it's performing. The Ryan Gosling starrer absolutely dominated the Top 10 in its second weekend, but it didn't have much in the way of competition, as only two small budget horror flicks were released over the weekend: "They Will Kill You" and "Forbidden Fruits". Neither made much of an impression.

Weekend Box-Office: PROJECT HAIL MARY Explodes With $80.5 Million

"Project Hail Mary" scored a big win for the sci-fi genre, effortlessly dominating the box office with a surprisingly solid debut, and demonstrating that you don't need a proven IP to get moviegoers into theaters. Another surprising debut is that of the Bollywood sequel "Dhurandhar: The Revenge", which broke the record for the biggest opening weekend of all-time for a Bollywood film in North America. Sadly, the horror sequel "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come" didn't do so well.

READY OR NOT 2: HERE I COME (2026) - Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"Ready or Not 2: Here I Come" is a horror sequel directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett ("Scream 5", "Scream VI", "Abigail") from a screenplay by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. The film is set immediately after the events of the first film. The cast includes Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, David Cronenberg, and Elijah Wood. "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come" premiered at the 2026 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival, and opened in theaters on March 20, 2026.

Today we have new trailers for:

• Netflix's sci-fi action film "War Machine" directed by Patrick Hughes ("The Hitman's Bodyguard", "The Expendables 3") and starring Alan Ritchson ("Reacher"), Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney and Esai Morales.
• A24's Canadian indie supernatural horror film "Undertone" written and directed by Ian Tuason. The cast includes Nina Kiri, Adam DiMarco and Michele Duquet.
• The true story drama "Tow" starring Rose Byrne, Dominic Sessa, Octavia Spencer, Elsie Fisher, Demi Lovato, Simon Rex and Corbin Bernsen. The film is directed by TV helmer Stephanie Laing ("Palm Royale", "Made for Love").
• The two-part action thriller "One Mile" starring Ryan Phillippe, Amélie Hoeferle, C. Thomas Howell, Richard Harmon, Sara Canning and Sage Linder. Both films (Chapter One and Chapter Two) are directed by TV helmer Adam Davidson ("Recon", "Bosch: Legacy", "La Brea"). Chapter One and Two will be released together on VOD starting February 20th.
• The horror sequel "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come" starring Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Elijah Wood & Nestor Carbonell. The film is once again directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.
• The Korean supernatural horror film "Ghost Train" starring Joo Hyun-young.

New Trailers: READY OR NOT 2, RETURN TO SILENT HILL, 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE, MOTHER MARY, CALIFORNIA SCHEMIN' and THE INTERNSHIP

Today we have new trailers for:

• The horror sequel "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come" starring Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Elijah Wood, Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Cronenberg and Néstor Carbonell. The sequel is once again directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.
• The horror film "Return to Silent Hill" based on the "Silent Hill" video game franchise. French filmmaker Christophe Gans, the director of the 2006 "Silent Hill" film is back in the director's chair, and the cast includes Jeremy Irvine, Hannah Emily Anderson and Evie Templeton.
• Yet another horror sequel, "28 Years Later: The Bone Temple" starring Ralph FIennes, Jack O'Connell, Alfie Williams, Erin Kellyman and Chi Lewis-Parry. A sequel to "The Bone Temple" is already in the works.
• The thriller "Mother Mary" written and directed by David Lowery ("Pete's Dragon", "Ain't Them Bodies Saints"). The cast includes Anne Hathaway, Michaela Coel, Hunter Schafer, Sian Clifford, FKA Twigs, Atheena Frizzell, Kaia Gerber, Jessica Brown Findlay, Isaura Barbé-Brown and Alba Baptista
• The hip-hop biopic "California Schemin'" which marks the directorial debut of Scottish actor James McAvoy. The film tells the story of Silibil N' Brains, a rap duo who for three years pretended to be American in order to be taken seriously by the record industry and ended up touring with Eminem. The cast features Samuel Bottomley, Seamus McLean Ross, McAvoy and James Corden.
• The action thriller "The Internship" directed by stunt coordinator turned filmmaker James Bamford ("Elysium", "Watchmen", "Arrow"). The film stars Lizzy Greene, Megan Boone, Sky Katz, Philip Winchester, Alix Villaret, Ollie Roddy and Sullivan Stapleton.
