RIDE ALONG 2 - 8 Clips and 17 Images

Today we have eight new clips and seventeen images from the action comedy sequel "Ride Along 2" which is now in theaters. The film has been skewered by critics, which was somewhat to be expected as the first film received equally harsh criticism for its abundance of stereotypes and cliches that almost completely destroy whatever chemistry Kevin Hart and Ice Cube may have.

Directed by Tim Story, the film also stars Tika Sumpter, Ken Jeong, Benjamin Bratt, Olivia Munn, Bruce McGill, Tip "T.I." Harris, Nadine Velazquez, Tyrese Gibson and Sherri Shepherd.

New RIDE ALONG 2 Trailers and Images

Two new trailers and five images for the action comedy sequel "Ride Along 2" have been released. Kevin Hart and Ice Cube are back as Ben and his soon-to-be brother-in-law James as they attempt to bring down a drug dealer in Miami.

Directed by Tim Story, the film also stars Tika Sumpter, Ken Jeong, Benjamin Bratt, Olivia Munn, Bruce McGill, Tip "T.I." Harris, Nadine Velazquez, Tyrese Gibson and Sherri Shepherd.

Today we have the first trailer, poster and a bunch of set photos for the action comedy "Ride Along 2". In this sequel, Ben (Kevin Hart) heads to Miami with his soon-to-be brother-in-law James (Ice Cube) to bring down a drug dealer. Product Description: For the past two years, high school security guard Ben (Kevin Hart) has been trying to show decorated detective James (Ice Cube) that he’s more than just a video game junkie who’s unworthy of James’ sister. When Ben finally gets accepted into the police academy, James invites him on a ride-along designed to scare the hell out of him and ultimately demonstrate if Ben has what it takes to take care of his sister. But when the wild night leads them to the most notorious criminal in the city, James will find that his new partner’s rapid-fire mouth is just as dangerous as the bullets speeding at it. Weekend Box-Office Report: THE LEGO MOVIE, THE MONUMENTS MEN, VAMPIRE ACADEMY

The 3D animated feature "The Lego Movie" became this past weekend's No. 1 hit, grossing $69 million, which was beyond anyone's most optimistic predictions. Meanwhile, George Clooney's World War II heist film "The Monuments Men" opened with a slow $22.7 million in second place, followed by "Ride Along" with $9.3 million. The latter has reached a domestic total of $105 million. The weekend's other wide release, "Vampire Academy" tanked with $4 million and placed seventh in its debut weekend.

Weekend Box-Office Report: I, FRANKENSTEIN, RIDE ALONG

The comedy "Ride Along" maintained its top position at the box-office this week, grossing $21 million which adds up to a total of $75 million in just 10 days. The comedy has performed beyond anyone's wildest expectations and looks to reach the $100 million milestone in the next week. So did Peter Berg's Afghanistat war drama "Lone Survivor", which held steady at No. 2 with a total gross of $93.6 million.

Another impressive situation is that of Disney's mega-hit "Frozen". The animated feature has climbed one spot to No. 4 and has grossed $810 million worldwide, of which $347 million domestically, making it the highest-grossing original animated movie ever (topping "Finding Nemo").

Much less impressive was this weekend's new release, "I, Frankenstein". The expensive comic book adptation, an attempt to cash-in on the success of the "Underworld" franchise, tanked on its opening weekend, grossing a poor $8 million versus a $65 million. The film ranked sixth.

Weekend Box-Office Report: RIDE ALONG, JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT, THE NUT JOB, DEVIL'S DUE

Unsurprisingly, the action comedy "Ride Along" starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube stormed the box-office this weekend and with its $41 million gross (versus a $25 million budget), it has scored the best performance of all-time for the Martin Luther King holiday weekend. The previous record-holder was 2008's "Cloverfield" which grossed $40 million in three days.

Four new movie clips have been released for the action comedy "Ride Along" which stars Kevin Hart and Ice Cube. The film is directed by Tim Story ("Barbershop") and it also stars John Leguizamo, Bruce McGill, Tika Sumpter and Dragos Bucur. "Ride Along" opens in theaters on January 17, 2014.

The full theatrical trailer and poster for the action comedy "Ride Along" have been released along with 13 images from the film.

Kevin Hart stars as a high-school security guard who joins his girlfriend’s cop brother James (Ice Cube) on the streets of Atlanta in order to obtain James' blessing to marry his sister. The trailer has some funny scenes and it seems that the two actors have great comedic chemistry on-screen. Worst thing that can happen is that the story wastes that chemistry. I certainly hope not, because good buddy comedies are really hard to come by.

The film also stars John Leguizamo, Bruce McGill, Tika Sumpter and Dragos Bucur.

"Ride Along" will be released on January 17, 2014.
