VAMPIRE DIARIES Stars Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley Reunite for Hulu Drama YOU DESERVE TO KNOW

Vampire Diaries Stars Nina Dobrev Paul Wesley Reunite For Hulu Drama You Deserve To Know

Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley, who starred as the leads of the hit CW series "The Vampire Diaries", are set to reunite for the upcoming Hulu drama series "You Deserve to Know". The show is based on the 2025 novel by Aggie Blum Thompson, and the adaptation is penned by Brian Tanen ("Grand Hotel"). Kapital and 20th Television are the studios.

The plot follows three suburban couples, next-door neighbors and best friends. When one of their husbands is murdered, a shocking trail of secrets is revealed, and their friendship cracks wide open. Dobrev and Wesley play Gwen and Scott, respectively, two neighbors on opposite sides of a murder investigation, leading them on a collision course.

Dobrev and Wesley will also executive produce alongside Tanen, Thompson, Alex Cooper of Unwell, and Aaron Kaplan, Matt Kaplan and Mina Lefevre for Kapital Entertainment. Other executive producers include Kapital's Jaiden Kaplan & Dylan Hammalian and Unwell's Paul Kim and Kendall Boucher.

"You Deserve to Know" is the second high-profile sale at Hulu for Kapital, following "What Remains", which was executive produced by and also starred Kerry Washington. Tanen previously worked with Hulu as executive producer and co-showrunner on "Love, Victor".

Dobrev can next be seen in the action thriller "The Get Out" opposite Russell Crowe, Aaron Paul and Theresa Palmer, and will also star in and executive produce "It Happened One Summer" based on the romance novel of the same name, as well as the erotic thriller series "Night Float".

Wesley recently wrapped production on the third season of Apple TV's "The Buccaneers", and the fifth and final season of Paramount+'s "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds".
