Keanu Reeves In Talks to Star in James Wan's THE GANGSTER, THE COP, THE DEVIL

Keanu Reeves is in talks to join the cast of the action crime thriller "The Gangaster, The Cop, The Devil" from horror filmmaker James Wan ("The Conjuring", "Saw"). Developed at Paramount Pictures, the film is a reimagining of the 2019 Korean film starring Don Lee aka Ma Dong-seok, who is attached to reprise his role opposite Reeves.

The original film followed a police officer and a gangster as they reluctantly join forces to track down a serial killer. Eric Pearson ("Thunderbolts", "The Fantastic Four: First Steps") wrote the latest script, based on previous drafts by Shay Hatten (2026's "Resident Evil", "John Wick Chapter 4") and Brian Helgeland ("Mystic River", "L.A. Confidential"). The project has been in the works since 2019, but Wan came on board this Spring.

This will be Wan's first directorial project since 2023's "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom", and he will also produce alongside Michael Clear and Jason Blum via Blumhouse Atomic Monster, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Lee via Big Punch Global, Sylvester Stallone and D. Matt Geller for Balboa Productions, Chris S. Lee through B&C Group, Helgeland, and Billy Acumen.

Reeves is also set to reprise his voice role as Shadow in "Sonic the Hedgehog 4", which opens in theaters on March 19, 2027.
