Product Description: Witness the origin story of one of legend's most captivating figures in the action-adventure, Dracula Untold. The year is 1462 and Transylvania has enjoyed a prolonged period of peace under the just and fair rule of the battle-weary Vlad III (Luke Evans), the prince of Wallachia. Box Office: GONE GIRL Stays Ahead of DRACULA UNTOLD

David Fincher's mystery thriller "Gone Girl" claimed its second weekend as the No.1 movie at the box-office with $26.8 million, ahead of Universal's "Dracula Untold" which scored a $23.4 million opening. The classic monster reboot had more success overseas where it grossed $62 million.

At No. 3 we have Disney's "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" which grossed $19 million, a good result for the $28 million film. The other wide release of the week, the drama "The Judge" starring Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall opened with a disappointing $13 million, placing 5th in the top 10.

This week's surprise is the sexy thriller "Addicted" which despite opening in just 846 locations, managed to debut with $7.6 million for a surprising 7th place.

6 New DRACULA UNTOLD Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes

Six new behind-the-scenes featurettes have been released for the upcoming fantasy action film "Dracula Untold" offering plenty of details regarding the story, characters and production. This Dracula origin story is Universal's attempt to revive their line-up of classics monsters and the focus here is Vlad Tepes (Luke Evans), who eventually becomes the infamous vampire. Although he didn't start out as the terrible creature of the night, he was forced to follow the path of darkness in order to protect his loved ones. The cast also features Sarah Gadon, Diarmaid Murtagh, Charles Dance, Charlie Cox, Samantha Barks and Dominic Cooper.

"Dracula Untold" opens in theaters on October 10th.

DRACULA UNTOLD Trailer: Vampire Origin Story Starring Luke Evans

The first trailer for the fantasy actioner "Dracula Untold" has been released. The film is yet-another origin story. The focus of the plot is Vlad Tepes (Luke Evans), who eventually becomes the infamous Dracula. Apparently, Dracula didn't start out as the evil vampire creature we all know and fear, but was forced to follow the path of darkness in order to protect his loved ones. Sarah Gadon, Diarmaid Murtagh, Charles Dance, Charlie Cox, Samantha Barks and Dominic Cooper also star.

"Dracula Untold" opens in theaters on October 17th.
