"Jumanji: The Next Level" is a fantasy adventure film directed by Jake Kasdan from a script he co-wrote alongside Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. The film is the second sequel in the "Jumanji" franchise. The first film was released in 1995 and starred Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst.

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan are back as the video game avatars of Spencer (Alex Wolff), Fridge (Ser'Darius Blain), Bethany (Madison Iseman) and Martha (Morgan Turner), as the gang embarks on a new adventure to rescue one of their own. The cast also includes Awkwafina, Nick Jonas, Colin Hanks, Danny DeVito and Danny Glover.

"Jumanji: The Next Level" opened in theaters on December 13, 2019.

Without any serious competition at the box-office, "Jumanji" returned to the top of the charts over the Super Bowl weekend. The only new wide release, the horror film "Winchester" performed slightly better than expected.

Weekend Box-Office: JUMANJI Threepeats at #1 While 12 STRONG and DEN OF THIEVES Overperform

The weekend featured two new releases, "12 Strong" and "Den of Thieves" that performed better than expected, but it's still "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" that dominates the box-office for a third consecutive weekend, more than a month after its release.

Weekend Box-Office: JUMANJI Still Leads Ahead of Four New Releases Over MLK Weekend

"Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" is the unexpected hit of 2017 that continues to impress at the box-office even after a month in theaters. Meanwhile, Steven Spielberg's "The Post" expanded nationwide and received a decent boost, and the Liam Neeson thriller "The Commuter" overperformed. The other two new releases, "Paddington 2" and "Proud Mary" stumbled.

JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Posters

The adventure comedy "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" is a sequel, and in some respects a soft reboot, of the original 1995 "Jumanji" that starred Robin Williams. The new installment is directed by Jake Kasdan ("Bad Teacher") and it stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan as the video game avatars of four teenagers who are transported into the fantastical world of Jumanji. There they must learn to work together in order to survive and conquer the game.

The film also stars Nick Jonas, Bobby Cannavale, Rhys Darby, Alex Wolff, Ser'Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner and Marin Hinkle.

"Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" opened in theaters on December 20th, 2017 and received surprisingly enthusiastic reviews from critics, followed by an equally enthusiastic, and surprising, box-office response from moviegoers. When it opened it grossed $36.1 million and finished in second place behind "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", but following Christmas the film saw a constant increase and eventually managed to overtake "The Last Jedi" for the top spot in its third weekend. It has currently grossed $541.6 million worldwide against a production budget of $90 million.
