Box-Office: THE HUNGER GAMES - MOCKINGJAY PART 2 Leads Thanksgiving Weekend

Even though Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur" and Warner Bros' "Creed" gave it their best shot, it was "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" that ultimately ruled the Thanksgiving weekend box-office. Also, "Victor Frankenstein" broke a record, but not one anyone would want to break. More after the jump.

In Theaters: CREED, THE GOOD DINOSAUR, VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN, THE DANISH GIRL

This week it's once again time to root for the underdog as the Rocky Balboa spinoff "Creed" is finally in theaters. The film has received an overwhelmingly positive response from critics and audiences alike, but still has to contend with Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur" for the top spot at the box-office. Another new wide release is "Victor Frankenstein" starring James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe, but I don't really see this one matter much for the weekend. In limited release we have Tom Hooper's latest Oscar-bait flick "The Danish Girl" starring Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander. Will Redmayne go two for two at the Oscars next year ? We shall see. New VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN Clips, Featurette, Images and Posters

Since reimaginings are so popular in Hollywood these days, I guess it was only a matter of time until Mary Shelley's classic story would have received the same treatment. And here it is, "Victor Frankenstein" is now in theaters.

20th Century Fox has released two clips, a featurette, a batch of ten new images and two posters to convince you to go watch their movie. The critics, however, would urge you to reconsider. The film has been hammered with bad reviews. Despite the solid efforts of James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe, director Paul McGuigan ("Sherlock") and screenwriter Max Landis ("Chronicle") offer an unnecessary reinvention that lacks soul and intelligence.

The film also stars Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott, Bronson Webb, Daniel Mays and Freddie Fox.

VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN Trailers and Poster

The first trailers and poster for "Victor Frankenstein" have been released. The reimagining of Mary Shelley's classic story is directed by Paul McGuigan ("Sherlock") from a script by Max Landis ("Chronicle") and it stars James McAvoy as Victor Frankenstein and Daniel Radcliffe as his assistant Igor. The film also stars Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott, and Freddie Fox.

"Victor Frankenstein" opens in theaters on November 25th.
