"Landman" and "The Sex Lives of College Girls" actor Mitchell Slaggert has joined the cast of the Netflix romantic drama series "Virgin River", which has recently started production in Vancouver on its eighth season.
Slaggert will have a major recurring role as Eddie, a charismatic EMT who may surprise you by fixing your soul along with your body. He's a laidback charmer who never pictured himself in a small town, but with natural curiosity and a zeal for life, Eddie is going to explore all that Virgin River has to offer.
Season 8 will consist of 10 episodes. The show's cast also includes Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Colin Lawrence, Annette O'Toole, Tim Matheson, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Marco Grazzini, Zibby Allen, and Kandyse McClure. Henderson will also step behind the camera to direct.
Virgin River follows nurse practitioner Mel Sheridan (Breckenridge) as she moves from the big city to the picturesque titular Northern California town — and falls in love with a rough-around-the-edges bartender, Jack (Henderson). In the Season 6 finale, the happy couple had finally tied the knot and were ready to experience life as newlyweds.
Breckenridge shared a photo of her and Henderson on instagram as confirmation that filming on Season 8 is underway:
