Jodie Comer To Lead Damon Lindelof's New Limited Series THE CHAIN

Emmy and BAFTA Award winner Jodie Comer ("Killing Eve", "28 Years Later") has signed on to lead the upcoming HBO thriller limited series "The Chain" created by Damon Lindeloff ("The Leftovers", "Watchmen") based on the bestselling book of the same name by Adrian McKinty. The project got a series order at HBO, where Lindelof is under an overall deal, in January.

The story follows Rachel (Comer), a suburban mom who must consider the unthinkable when her daughter is kidnapped. Lindelof writes, executive produces and showruns the miniseries which is intended to expand the book's mythology. The pilot script is penned by Lindelof and Carly Wray from a story by Lindelof, Wray and Breannah Gibson.

The show is executive produced by Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer for Media Res, which develops the series alongside HBO. Shane Salerno, Breannah Gibson and Joseph Iberti also executive produce. McKinty is a co-executive producer.

Comer can next be seen in "The Death of Robin Hood" opposite Hugh Jackman, Kenneth Branagh's thriller "The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde" and the musical body horror romance "Stuffed".
