Allison Williams ("Regretting You", "M3gan") and Michelle Randolph ("Landman", "Scream 7") are set to star in the upcoming sci-fi survival thriller "Homewrecker" directed by Xavier Gens ("Under Paris", "Hitman") from an original screenplay by Elisa Bell ("Vegas Station", "Little Black Book") and Travis Gordon. North.five.six is launching sales at the upcoming Cannes Marché du Film, with production set to start in July in France.
Here is the official synopsis: "During a heart-breaking domestic revelation, three star-crossed Americans are suddenly forced to work together to survive a terrifying unexplained global event that threatens to destroy life as they know it. In the spirit of A Quiet Place, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Independence Day, Homewrecker is a riotous, relentless, and singular sci-fi action adventure".
Williams had this to say about the project: "I found the script riveting, and it had a depth that continued shifting and revealing itself as I read. Then, knowing Xavier's work, I was very eager to work with this talented filmmaker. I'm grateful to be part of this team and this project."
Randolph added: "I was immediately drawn to how Homewrecker blends psychological tension with something deeply character-driven. It has a kind of intensity and unpredictability that makes it such a compelling project. I'm so excited to be part of this with Allison and Xavier".
Gens said: "I'm thrilled to explore American mythology from a uniquely intimate point of view. I can't wait to share the set with Allison Williams and Michelle Randolph and push the boundaries of humanity further than I've ever gone before".
Producers include Denise Di Novi ("Crazy, Stupid, Love", "Little Women", "Batman Returns"), Margaret French Isaac ("Stepmom", "The Fan") and Oliver Scherick for DI NOVI PICTURES, John Zois ("Greenland" franchise, "The Night House") and Warren Goz (The Marksman, Copshop, Asphalt City) for PARALLEL 42 ENTERTAINMENT. Michael Rothstein and Samuel Hall will executive produce for NORTH.FIVE.SIX. ("By Any Means", "Regretting You", "Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die",) alongside Williams.
NORTH.FIVE.SIX. are fully financing and representing worldwide distribution rights on the film. NORTH.FIVE.SIX., CAA MEDIA FINANCE and UTA INDEPENDENT FILM GROUP will co-rep domestic distribution rights on the film.
