Deborah Ann Woll & Luke Kirby Join THE TESTAMENTS Season 2

Deborah Ann Woll Luke Kirby Join The Testaments Season 2

Deborah Ann Woll ("Daredevil") and Luke Kirby ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel") have joined the second season cast of Hulu's dystopian drama series "The Testaments", which is a sequel to "The Handmaid's Tale", and it's based on Margaret Atwood's 2019 novel "The Testaments". Season 1 premiered in April, and production on Season 2 started in August.

Woll will have a recurring guest role as Sylvia, whose work as a seamstress keeps her in close proximity to the Wives and daughters of Gilead’s Commanders. Kirby will guest star as the literal-minded Commander Fletcher, who lives as a recluse on a farm in one of Gilead's Colonies, where his eccentricities have made it difficult to find a wife.

"The Testaments" is a dramatic coming-of-age story set in the totalitarian theocracy of Gilead that follows young teens Agnes (Chase Infiniti) dutiful and pious, and Daisy (Lucy Halliday), a new arrival and convert from beyond Gilead’s borders. As they navigate the gilded halls of Aunt Lydia's elite preparatory school for future wives, a place where obedience is instilled brutally and always with divine justification, their bond becomes the catalyst that will upend their past, their present, and their future.

The cast also includes Charlie Carrick, who plays Gilead's Commander Judd, and will be promoted to series regular for Season 2, and Haley Wong in a series regular role as the dutiful and pregnant wife Prudence. Ann Dowd reprises her role from the original series as Aunt Lydia. Other cast members include Mabel Li, Amy Seimetz, Brad Alexander, Rowan Blanchard, Mattea Conforti, Zarrin Darnell-Martin, Eva Foote, Isolde Ardies and Kira Guloien.

The show is created by showrunner Bruce Miller ("The Handmaid's Tale"), who executive produces alongside Warren Littlefield, Elisabeth Moss, Steve Stark, Maya Goldsmith, John Weber, Sheila Hockin, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears, Mike Barker, Lindsey McManus, Gianna Sobol, and Priscilla Porianda. The series is produced by MGM Television and 20th Television.
