Dave Franco ("Now You See Me", "Together") has signed on to star in the upcoming alien invasion thriller "Soon You Will Be Gone And Possibly Eaten" opposite Sophie Wilde ("Talk to Me"). The film is directed by Egor Abramenko ("Altar", "Sputnik") from a script by Luke Piotrowski & Ben Collins (2022's "Hellraier", "The Night House") based on a short story by Nick Antosca ("Channel Zero", "Cape Fear", "A Friend of the Family"). Additional casting is underway.
The movie follows Rob and Sabile, a young engaged couple, who head to a secluded mountain resort to take their vows and step into the new chapter of their shared lives. What was planned as a joyous wedding attended by family members takes a different turn when unexpected guests crash the ceremony.
Anton is fully financing the film and handling worldwide rights and will continue pre-selling in Cannes. Domestic sales are being handled by Anton, Anonymous Content and WME Independent. The film is developed by Anonymous Content, Eat the Cat, and Divide/Conquer and is produced by Anonymous Content, Dawn Olmstead, Anton, Eat the Cat, and Divide/Conquer.
Producers include Sébastien Raybaud ("Greenland 2") for Anton, Nick Antosca and Alex Hedlund for Eat the Cat ("Murdaugh: A Death in the Family"), Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks for Divide/Conquer ("M3GAN"), Nick Shumaker for Anonymous Content, and Dawn Olmstead. Anonymous Content's David Levine ("Nickel Boys") and Garrett Kemble executive produce alongside Anton's Kathy Stocker.
