Emily Wickersham Joins NCIS: ORIGINS Season 3 Reprising Her Original NCIS Character

Emily Wickersham Joins NCIS: ORIGINS Season 3 Reprising Her Original NCIS Character
"NCIS" alum Emily Wickersham is set to return to the small screen franchise by reprising her role in the third season of the spinoff prequel series "NCIS: Origins". The show follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs as he starts his career as part of the Naval Investigative Service operating out of Camp Pendleton.

Gibbs was played by Mark Harmon in the original series. The actor provided voice-over for the first season, guest starred in the first and second, and will be part of the main cast in Season 3 as part of a special present-day timeline. Young Gibbs is played by Austin Stowell.

Emily Wickersham will guest star as her original NCIS character, Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop, in multiple episodes of Season 3. Her first appearance will be in the episode "Shimmy Shimmy Ya", which airs on Tuesday, October 27th. Set in the 1993 timeline, the episode follows the team as they intervene when a general's rebellious teen son is targeted by a dangerous former gang member. In the present, Gibbs (Harmon) returns to a place full of memories and discovers he's not alone. Bishop is enlisted by new director Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) to help Gibbs on his quest to track down the unknown assailants who tried to kill him.

Wickersham starred as Bishop on the mothership series for eight seasons before exiting in 2021. She also had a guest appearance on "NCIS" in March. This will be the character's first time appearing in the prequel series.
