"My Mother's Wedding" is a dramedy directed by Kristin Scott Thomas in her directorial debut from a script she co-wrote alongside John Micklethwait. Thomas also stars alongside Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, Emily Beecham, Freida Pinto, and Thibault de Montalembert. It premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival and opened in select theaters on August 8, 2025. On August 29th it was released on streaming platforms.

HILLBILLY ELEGY (2020) - Trailer, Clip, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"Hillbilly Elegy" is a drama directed by Ron Howard ("Apollo 13", "A Beautiful Mind") from a script by Vanessa Taylor ("The Shape of Water") based on J.D. Vance's memoir of the same name.

The film is a modern exploration of the American Dream through three generations of the Vances, an Appalachian family; most notably focusing on Vance's relationship with his troubled mother and her ongoing addiction to heroin, along with the love and care of his supportive grandmother. The cast features Amy Adams, Glenn Close, Gabriel Basso, Haley Bennett, Freida Pinto and Bo Hopkins.

"Hillbilly Elegy" opened in select theaters on November 11, 2020, and was released on November 24th via Netflix.

Freida Pinto, Logan Marshall-Green to Star in Netflix Thriller INTRUSION

Freida Pinto ("Slumdog Millionaire") and Logan Marshall-Green (Upgrade) have signed on to star in the upcoming Netflix home invasion thriller "Intrusion". The film will be directed by Adam Salky ("I Smile Back") from a script by Chris Sparling ("Buried", "Greenland").

Pinto and Marshall-Green will play a husband and wife who move to a small town and suffer a home invasion that leaves the wife traumatized and suspicious that those around her might not be who they seem.

The film is produced by Sparling, Kyle Benn, Josh Weinstock, Alexandra Milchan, Matthew Myers and Russell Hollander.

Marshall-Green can next be seen in the StudioCanal series "Shadowplay" in which he stars opposite Taylor Kitsch.

Pinto finished work on the sci-fi film "Needle in a Timestack" starring Orlando Bloom and Leslie Odom Jr.. She is currently filming the anthology drama "Together Now"" which also stars Eva Longoria and Juliette Binoche, and is also set to star in the romantic comedy "Mr. Malcolm's List" alongside Sam Heughan, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Constance Wu.

MOWGLI: LEGEND OF THE JUNGLE Trailers, Featurette, Images and Posters

"Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle" is an adaptation based on Rudyard Kipling's "All The Mowgli Stories", which includes "The Jungle Book" and "The Second Jungle Book". The film is directed by Andy Serkis ("The Lord of the Rings" and the "Planet of the Apes" reboot trilogies) and adapted by Callie Kloves.

The story follows Mowgli (Rohan Chand), a human child raised by wolves who never truly belonged in either the wilds of the jungle or the civilized world of man, as he accepts his destiny and becomes a legend. The cast also features Christian Bale, Benedict Cumberbatch, Andy Serkis, Naomie Harris, Eddie Marsan, Jack Reynor, Matthew Rhys, Tom Hollander, Cate Blanchett, Peter Mullan and Freida Pinto.

The film was originally titled "Jungle Book: Origins" and was set for release in 2018, after several delays, by Warner Bros. In the end, the studio sold the worldwide distribution rights to Netflix. The streaming network changed the title to "Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle" and scheduled it for a limited release in theaters on November 29, 2018 and for streaming on December 7th. The film received mostly mixed reviews from critics.

GUERRILLA Miniseries Trailers, Clips, Featurette, Images and Poster

Written and directed by John Ridley ("12 Years a Slave") and Sam Miller ("No Good Deed"), the six-episode miniseries "Guerrilla" is set in 1970s London during one of the most explosive times in U.K. history, and it follows a group of activists who set out to free a political prisoner and form a resistance movement.

The cast features Idris Elba, Freida Pinto, Babou Ceesay, Wunmi Mosaku, Giorgio Spiegefeld, Patrick Gibson and Zawe Ashton. The series has attracted some controversy due to the fact that the filmmakers allegedly downplayed the historical role of black female activists and cast and Indian actress (Pinto) in the lead role, accusations that have been rejected by early British Black Panther members Farrukh Dhondy and Neil Kenlock. Dhondy was a consultant on the show along with Darcus Howe.

"Guerrilla" premiered in the U.S. on April 16th, 2017 and the U.K. on April 13th. The miniseries received generally positive reviews from critics.

KNIGHT OF CUPS Featurette and 21 Clips

Terrence Malick's "Knight of Cups" is now in theaters, so here are twenty-one clips and a new behind-the-scenes featurette. The clips also include some short viral videos that introduce the viewer to the film's surreal atmosphere. Some of the clips are unfortunately in German, but they're still very pretty to look at thanks to triple-Oscar winner Emmanuel Lubezki's amazing cinematography.

As far as how good the movie is, there seems to be a split consensus out there. Malick provides another deep exploration of troubled characters, but while some critics find it admirable and moving, others think it wanders into self-parody. Overall, it looks like this is not one of the director's best films.

Christian Bale stars as a troubled writer who undertakes a search for love and self through the playgrounds of Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The film also stars Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, Antonio Banderas, Isabel Lucas, Imogen Poots, Wes Bentley, Freida Pinto, Teresa Palmer, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Brian Dennehy and Ben Kingsley.

In Theaters: THE LONGEST RIDE, EX MACHINA, CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA, DESERT DANCER

Nicholas Sparks fans are in for a treat, as the adaptation of the author's romance novel "The Longest Ride" hits theaters this weekend. This is the 11th cinematic adaptation of one of Sparks' novels, and some say it's one of the best, although critics did have some serious bones to pick with it. The more interesting films of the week seem to be in the limited release area. Alex Garland's sci-fi thriller "Ex Machina" is an enticing new release, as is the César-winning drama "Clouds of Sils Maria". Another intriguing limited release is the true story drama "Desert Dancer". More about each film after the jump.

DESERT DANCER Trailer, Images and 5 Posters

The first trailer, images and five posters have been released for the true story drama "Desert Dancer". The film tells the story of Afshin Ghaffarian (Reece Ritchie), a young man who forms an underground dance company amidst the volatile climate of Iran's 2009 presidential election, when many cultural freedoms were threatened.

Directed by Richard Raymond, the film also stars Freida Pinto, Nazanin Boniadi, Marama Corlett and Tom Cullen. The film begins a limited release in theaters today.

Reviews so far have been mixed with critics appreciating the film's dance sequences and cast, but also lamenting a made-for-cable-TV feeling and tame writing.
