Ryan Gosling to Star in New Film From EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE Filmmakers
"Project Hail Mary" star Ryan Gosling is set to star in Universal Pictures' upcoming untitled film from Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the Oscar-winning filmmakers behind "Everything Everywhere All at Once". Plot details have not been revealed. Production is set to begin this summer in Los Angeles. The release date has been set for November 19, 2027.

Kwan, Scheinert and Jonathan Wang will produce through their Playgrounds overall deal with Universal. Exec VP Production Development Sara Scott and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project for the studio. The project was originally set up at Universal in 2024.

The Daniels' last movie, "Everything Everywhere All at Once" was a big hit, raking in $147.9 million worldwide against a $25 million budget. It went on to receive 11 Oscar nominations, winning seven, including Best Picture, Director (Kwan and Scheinert), Actress (Michelle Yeoh), Actress in a Supporting Role (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Actor in a Supporting Role (Ke Huy Quan). The filmmaking duo also wrote and directed the 2016 dark comedy "Swiss Army Man" starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe.

Gosling's latest film "Project Hail Mary" is a suprrise box office hit, grossing $300.8 million after only 10 days in theaters. The actor can next be seen in Disney's "Star Wars: Starfighter", which opens in theaters on May 28, 2027.
