The winners of the 53rd Daytime Emmys were revealed on Friday during a ceremony held at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. "General Hospital" won big with 19 trophies, including Outstanding Daytime Drama Series for a sixth consecutive year, Outstanding Writing Team for a Daytime Drama Series and Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series.
"Beyond the Gates" also enjoyed a successful evening in its first year of eligibility, taking home four awards, including Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series (Tamara Tunie) and Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series (Ambyr Michelle).
Meanwhile, "The Young and the Restless" and "Days of Our Lives" didn't go home empty handed. The former won three awards, despite entering the night as the most-nominated show with 18 nominations, while the latter scored a single win for Outstanding Directing Team for a Daytime Drama Series.
Genie Francis was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Daytime Emmy Awards, recognising her contribution to daytime television for nearly five decades.
