Lewis Pullman Joins Coming-of-Age Motocross Drama RAGAMUFFIN

Lewis Pullman ("Remarkably Bright Creatures", "Top Gun: Maverick", "Thunderbolts") is set to star in the coming-of-age motocross drama "Ragamuffin" directed by Kaitlyn Mikayla. The film marks Mikayla's feature directorial debut based on her own short film. David Permut ("Hacksaw Ridge") will produce the film under his Permut Productions alongside Alex Astrachan. Pre-production and financing for the film is underway.

The film follows Mad Mike (Pullman) and his 14-year old daughter, an aspiring motocross champion, as she competes in a tournament over the course of a summer. The award-winning original short film, which is inspired by Mikayla's own experience in the world of motocross, was executive produced by Oscar nominee Jason Reitman ("Juno", "Ghostbusters: Afterlife").

Mikayla had this to say about the casting: "Lewis brings a rare emotional depth and authenticity to every role he inhabits. Inspired by, and named after, my own father, finding the right actor carried enormous weight. Lewis has an extraordinary ability to communicate entire worlds beneath the surface, and I couldn't be more excited to have him bring Mad Mike to life on screen".

Permut added: "It's a privilege to be working with Kaitlyn. I think the emotionality of the relationship between Mad Mike and his daughter, against the backdrop of the intense world of motocross, will be an exhilarating experience for the audience".

"Remarkably Bright Creatures" is a drama directed by Olivia Newman ("Where the Crawdads Sing") from a script she co-wrote alongside John Whittington ("Swapped") based on the 2022 novel of the same name by Shelby Van Pelt. THE TESTAMENT OF ANN LEE (2025) - Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Posters

"The Testament of Ann Lee" is a historical musical directed by Mona Fastvold ("The World to Come") from a script she co-wrote alongside Brady Corbet ("The Brutalist"). The film chronicles the true story of Ann Lee, the founding leader of the Shaker Movement, and depicts her establishment of a utopian society and the Shakers' worship through song and dance.

The cast features Amanda Seyfried, Thomasin McKenzie, Lewis Pullman, Stacy Martin, Tim Blake Nelson, and Christopher Abbott. The film was released in select theaters on December 25, 2025, and via streaming on March 10, 2026.

SPACEBALLS 2 Announces Full Cast As Filming Begins

Amazon MGM has announced the full cast for the upcoming sequel "Spaceballs", while also confirming that production is underway. The studio also shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the stars, writers and director at a table read. The film will be released in 2027. The full title and plot description haven't been revealed, but Amazon MGM did confirm in typical Mel Brooks style that "the title is rumored to be the name of the movie, and plot details are being described as information about what happens in the story."

Rick Moranis ("Ghostbusters", "Little Shop of Horrors") is officially ending his decades-long retirement from live-action acting, reprising his role as Lord Dark Helmet alongside original cast members Bill Pullman as Lone Starr, Mel Brooks as Yogurt, Daphne Zuniga as Princess Vespa, and George Wyner as Colonel Sandurz. Newcomers include Josh Gad, Keke Palmer, Lewis Pullman and Anthony Carrigan.

"Spaceballs 2" will be directed by Josh Greenbaum ("Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar", "Will & Harper") from a script by Gad, Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez. The film's logline describes it as being a "non-prequel non-reboot sequel part two but with reboot elements franchise expansion film".

Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, and Jeb Brody, will also produce alongside Gad, Greenbaum and Kevin Salter. Adam Merims, Samit, and Hernandez will executive produce.

SPACEBALLS 2 In the Works With Bill Pullman & Rick Moranis Set to Reprise Roles

Amazon MGM Studios is hard at work to bring us the sequel we never knew we wanted to Mel Brooks' 1987 cult classic sci-fi spoof "Spaceballs", which parodied the original "Star Wars" trilogy, "2001: A Space Odyssey" and more. Bill Pullman and Rick Moranis are set to reprise their roles as Lone Starr and Dark Helmet, and they will be joined by newcomers Keke Palmer ("Nope", "One of Them Days") and Pullman's son Lewis Pullman ("Thunderbolts").

Character and plot details are being kept under wraps. Brooks, who recently turned 99 years old, will also return to reprise his role as Yogurt. The film has been described as "A Non-Prequel Non-Reboot Sequel Part Two but with Reboot Elements Franchise Expansion Film." It will be released in theaters in 2027.

Josh Greenbaum ("Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar") will direct from a script by Benji Samit, Dan Hernandez, and Josh Gad. Gad is also expected to star and will produce alongside Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and Jeb Brody. Brooks, Greenbaum, Kevin Salter, Adam Merims, Samit, and Hernandez are also executive producing.

Lewis Pullman can next be seen in the Duffer Brothers' Netflix series "The Boroughs", and A24's "Famous", which also stars Zac Efron.

For Moranis the film represents an unexpected return to acting after he stepped away in the late '90s to focus on raising his children following the passing of his wife, costume designer Ann Belsky. He only made an appearance in a 2020 ad for Mint Mobile alongside Ryan Reynolds.

Palmer can be seen in Amazon's heist comedy "The Pickup", opposite Eddie Murphy, Aziz Ansari's Lionsgate comedy "Good Fortune", and Boots Riley's "I Love Boosters".

THEM THAT FOLLOW (2019) - Trailer, Images and Poster

"Them That Follow" is a thriller written and directed by Britt Poulton ("Profile") and Dan Madison Savage, in their directorial debuts. The film is set in an isolated community where an obscure sect led by Pastor Lemuel Childs (Walton Goggins) willingly take up venomous snakes to prove themselves before God. But the pastor's daughter (Alice Englert) holds a secret that threatens to tear her community apart. Olivia Colman, Kaitlyn Dever, Jim Gaffigan, Thomas Mann and Lewis Pullman co-star.

"Them That Follow" premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize (Dramatic). It was released in select theaters on August 2, 2019.

Jon Hamm, Ed Harris and Lewis Pullman Join TOP GUN: MAVERICK

Jon Hamm, Ed Harris and Lewis Pullman (son of actor Bill Pullman) have joined the cast of "Top Gun: Maverick", the sequel to the 1986 classic directed by Tony Scott. Developed by Paramount, the film will be directed by Joseph Kosinski ("Tron Legacy", "Only the Brave") from a script by Peter Craig, Justin Marks, Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz. The cast already includes Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Glen Powell, Jennifer Connelly and Miles Teller.

Teller will star as the son of Maverick's former partner Goose, played in the original by Anthony Edwards. The plot will focus on Cruise's Pete Mitchell, now an instructor at the Top Gun school, who takes the young rookie under his wing. Kilmer will reprise his role as Tom "Iceman" Kazansky.

The supporting cast also includes Charles Parnell, Jay Ellis, Bashir Salahuddin, Danny Ramirez and Monica Barbaro. The original's producer Jerry Bruckheimer will be handling the sequel, and Harold Faltermeyer will return to write the score.

Production on the sequel has begun in June, and it will be released in theaters on July 12, 2019.

THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Posters

Directed by "48 Meters Down" helmer Johannes Roberts, the horror film "The Strangers: Prey at Night" is a sequel/reboot of the 2008 film "The Strangers". Bryan Bertino, who penned the original, also wrote the script for the sequel alongside Ben Ketai ("StartUp").

The film follows a family who take a break from their road trip at a secluded mobile home park, which turns out to be a bad idea (go figure!) when they find themselves stalked by three masked psychopaths, who test their every limit as they struggle to survive. The cast features Bailee Madison, Christina Hendricks, Martin Henderson, Lewis Pullman, Emma Bellomy, Damian Maffei and Lea Enslin.

"The Strangers: Prey at Night" opened in theaters on March 9, 2018 and finished the weekend with $10.4 million at the box-office against its $5 million budget. The film received mixed reviews from critics, who mostly thought it was better than the original, but still a pretty conventional slasher film.
