Sam Worthington Jennifer Hudson Milla Jovovich Action Thriller Breathe

A very impressive cast has been confirmed for the upcoming action thriller "Breathe" from Indie Spirit Award-winner Stefon Bristol ("See You Yesterday"). Sam Worthington ("Avatar"), Academy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson ("Dreamgirls"), Milla Jovovich ("Resident Evil"), Academy Award-nominee Quvenzhané Wallis ("Beasts of the Southern Wild") and Academy Award-winner Common ("Suicide Squad") are set to star in the film which is expected to begin filming in Pennsylvania this summer.

The script written by Doug Simon ("Dimension's Demonic") was included on the Black List, the yearly roundup of the best unproduced screenplays as voted for by producers.

The story is set after Earth is left uninhabitable due to lack of oxygen, and it follows a mother Maya (Hudson) and her daughter Zora (Wallis) who are forced to live underground, with short trips to the surface only made possible by a state of the art oxygen suit made by Maya's husband, Darius, whom she presumes to be dead. When a mysterious couple arrives claiming to know Darius and his fate, Maya tentatively agrees to let them into their bunker, but are they all they appear to be?

The highly anticipated feature is produced by Thunder Road Films' Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, and Capstone's Christian Mercuri. Capstone's Ruzanna Kegeyan executive produces alongside David Haring, Esther Hornstein and Will Flynn. Capstone Studios will also finance alongside Thunder Road.

Capstone Global will introduce the hot title to buyers at the upcoming Marche du Film. CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group helped arrange financing for the film and will co-rep the US rights, alongside Capstone.

"We are so excited about the incredible project that is Breathe," said Thunder Road President of Production, Erica Lee. "Stefon's vision for the film feels more relevant than ever and we are thrilled at how this cast fiercely talented actors at the top of their game, has come together. We look forward to collaborating on another project with our friends and partners at Capstone."

"We cannot wait to see this award-winning cast shine in Stefon's pulse racing thriller, which is set to create a new creative benchmark in this highly commercial genre," said Ruzanna Kegeyan, Head of Acquisitions, Capstone. Annie (2014) new on DVD and Blu-Ray

Product Description: Academy Award (R) nominee Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) stars as Annie, a young, happy foster kid who's also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they'd be back for her someday, it's been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz). But everything's about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx) - advised by his brilliant VP, Grace (Rose Byrne) and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor, Guy (Bobby Cannavale) - makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Stacks believes he's her guardian angel, but Annie's self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it's the other way around.
