Jason Statham is set to star in director Guy Ritchie's new Netflix film "Dogfight", which has been described as a "stylish revenge actioner". Production is set to begin early 2027, with filming taking place in the UK. Ritchie will write, direct and produce. A release date has not been announced.
The film is set in the London criminal underworld, but no other plot details have been revealed. "Dogfight" is produced by Black Bear Pictures, which frequently collaborates with the filmmaker. Ritchie will produce alongside Ivan Atkinson via Toff Guy Films, and Statham produces via Punch Palace Productions. Producers also include John Friedberg from Black Bear.
Statham and Ritchie's previously worked together on "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", "Snatch", "Revolver", "Wrath of Man" and "Operation Fortune: Rose de Guerre". The actor-director pair recently finished work on the action thriller "Viva La Madness" based on J.J. Connolly's novel, which is a sequel to the author's "Layer Cake" (previously adapted into the 2004 film). Black Bear is distributing the film in North America and Amazon MGM Studios holds the rights to most international territories.
