"Line of Fire" is a new family action thriller series created by Joshua Safran that follows a family of law enforcement agents who become targets of a mysterious assassin after a U.S. Marshal falls in the line of duty, forcing them to use their expertise to protect each other. The cast includes Peter Krause, Hope Davis, Kat Cunning, Tommy O'Brien, Taylor Bloom and Charlie Barnett. The series premiered on September 21, 2026 on NBC, and streams on Peacock the next day.

Jessica Chastain to Star in New Netflix Drama Series THE RETRIEVALS

Oscar winner Jessica Chastain is set to star in Netflix's new drama series "The Retrievals" written, showrun and executive produced by Molly Smith Metzler ("Sirens", "Maid"). The show is based on the New York Times and Serial Productions podcast of the same name by Susan Burton, and it also stars Amy Ryan, Emilia Jones, Fabien Frankel and Will Harrison. Lila Neugebauer ("Maid", "Sirens, "The Beast in Me") serves as the pilot director and executive producer.

The show will follow an unlikely community of IVF patients who come together to crusade against Yale University after they are operated on without anesthesia — because a nurse stole their fentanyl. Chastain will star as Kaitlyn Langford, a former art historian who has spent the last decade stuck in an endless cycle of failed fertility treatments. When she learns she's also a victim of criminal drug diversion at the Yale Fertility Center, she faces a devastating personal reckoning and becomes a key plaintiff in this historic lawsuit against Yale.

Metzler had this to say about the casting: "Chastain was the writing team's 'exemplar' while crafting the role of Kaitlyn. As a performer, she has the rare ability to convey extreme restraint and unbridled freefall, often at the same time. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about what Jessica's going to do with this role."

TRESPASSES Series Trailers, Featurettes, Images and Poster

"Trespasses" is a Northern Irish drama series directed by Dawn Shadforth and written by Ailbhe Keogan based on the novel of the same name by Louise Kennedy. Set in 1970s Northern Ireland during The Troubles, the show follows a Catholic teacher and a Protestant solicitor who defends IRA members, as they engage in a forbidden relationship amidst the tensions of 1970s Northern Ireland.

The cast includes Lola Petticrew, Tom Cullen, Gillian Anderson, Martin McCann, Emily Taaffe, Oisin Thompson and Barry Ward. "Trespasses" premiered on November 9, 2025 on Channel 4 in the UK, and on September 20, 2026 on PBS in the US.

AMERICAN HOSTAGE Miniseries Trailer, Clip, Images and Posters

"American Hostage" is a new anthology series created by Shawn Ryan ("The Shield") and Eileen Myers based on the podcast of the same name. The first season focuses on the stranger-than-fiction 1977 case of Tony Kiritsis (Giovanni Ribisi) who entered the office of Richard "Dick" Hall (Kristoffer Polaha), president of the Meridian Mortgage Company, and wired the trigger and muzzle of a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun to the back of Hall's head and neck. During the 63-hour hostage crisis, Kiritsis demanded to be interviewed by popular Indianapolis radio reporter Fred Heckamn (Jon Hamm)

The story was also portrayed in Gus Van Sant's 2025 film "Dead Man's Wire" starring Bill Skarsgard and Dacre Montgomery. The show's cast also includes Mireille Enos, William Jackson Harper, Jonathan TUcker, Kat Cunning, Mark McKinney, June Laporte, Joe Cobden, Lisa Codrington and Adam Arkin. "American Hostage" premiered on September 20, 2026 on MGM+.
